KeePass process memory protection: passwords are encrypted while KeePass is running. If you'd need to take your passwords from one Operating System to another it is better to stick with Keepass after all. Downsides are that it isn't Open Source and doesn't work on other systems. Exporting CSV Files With Application-Specific Expressions When exporting data to a CSV file, KeePass encodes certain characters (as required by the file format), but it does not filter any expressions supported by some other applications (not defined by the generic CSV file format). Mac OSX comes with an excellent built-in password manager called Keychain that is just as save. KeePass cannot magically run securely in an insecure environment. We will cover installing KeePass on Ubuntu and Windows. ![]()
